butter keeper - blue grid
I live somewhere pretty hot, so I know the struggle of keeping butter spreadable, it’s either hard in the fridge or melted liquid on the bench. This is where French butter keepers come in!
If you’ve never used one before - just place softened butter in the top section, and a bit of cold water in the bottom section. This creates an airtight seal that will keep the butter fresh and spreadable at room temperature, this air airtight seal also stops it from going rancid, so you can leave it on the bench (to ensure the butter's freshness, you should replace the water every 2 to 3 days).
soft, spreadable n fresh butter sounds good to me!
made on the wheel with a nice white speckled clay and glazed with a simple blue underglaze pencil in a grid design.
8.5cm tall x 8.5cm wide. the lid/insert on this one is a bit small, but it will hold a few tablespoons of butter.
